Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Office Administrator to join our team in Basingstoke. It is essential that you have an excellent telephone manner and be computer literate. Ideally, you will have at least one year of office experience and be able to be proactive and meet deadlines. Reception experience is preferred but not essential.

Main Responsibility

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with them accordingly, ensuring they are correctly directed and monitored
  • Administrative duties including letters, emails, agendas, reports and managing general enquiries, as and when required
  • Recruitment support – regularly liaising with head office team regarding vacancies and interviews, meeting candidates, onboarding and inducting new staff and attending job fairs
  • Filing – making new files for clients, monitoring files to ensure all staff have the correct documentation within their personnel file
  • Database administration of clients and staff
  • Ordering stationery supplies, maintaining a supply of carer’s equipment and ensuring there is a ready supply of Abicare documents available
  • Looking after Abicare visitors
  • Maintaining the office diary; recording appointments, absences & holidays
  • Payroll submission
  • Communicating rota changes if and when required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills
  • Previous knowledge of recruitment processes and RTW, DBS etc
  • Previous experience working within the social care sector, but not essential
  • Proactive and the confidence to build new relationships
  • Assertive, but personable - a definite people person
  • Possess excellent analytical and communication skills
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team

Package Description

Location: Vickers Business Centre, Basingstoke
Hours: 20 per week, Monday to Friday, 9.15am-1.15pm
