Abicare Companion/Home Helper service starts in January 2022 and will focus on the wellbeing of our clients and how we can enrich their daily lives.

Main Responsibility

As a companion/home helper you will spend time with your client assisting with those ‘essential’ non-essential parts of their day - chatting, baking, hobbies, outings/ shopping or even dog walking and pet care.

Other duties might include:

  • Meal preparation
  • Light cleaning and laundry
  • Accompanying to hospital/medical appointments

You will visit your regular clients and build up that important relationship where your clients feel at ease and look forward to you visiting.

No formal qualifications are required as all Abicare Companions will receive in-house induction and training, to enable you to fulfil your potential and provide the best service to our clients. 

Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday, but flexible to suit the needs of the clients.  The position is subject to RTW and DBS, reference check.

Valid driving licence with business insurance and access to a car is required

 

Package Description

Guaranteed, flexible & full-time hours available

£10 ph weekday, £11 ph weekend plus the length of service increments and Bank Holiday enhancements.

No experience is needed as full training will be given.
