Hotel Care Coordinator - Wiltshire

Job Introduction

As a Hotel Care Coordinator, you will be part of the team responsible for maintaining and promoting quality care for the clients and supervising the live-in carers in the hotel setting. You will ensure that the client experiences a smooth transition from the hospital to the hotel and receives a ‘welcome pack’ and access to the client care hub. You will oversee the daily running of the hotel care by following detailed daily, weekly and monthly schedules – including ensuring the carers interact and promote wellbeing activities with their clients. You will liaise with client’s families, hospital discharge teams and other healthcare professionals/therapists. You will follow the Hotel Care Protocol manual and ensure all carers are aware of key policies and procedures (Fire, H & S and Safeguarding).

Main Responsibility

  • Ensure all live-in carers are given a full induction to work within a hotel care setting
  • Ensure new clients to the hotel are given the ‘Welcome’ pack to inform them about the routine of daily living at the hotel (meal times, names of their designated carers, etc).  It is important to ensure there is a smooth transition from the hospital to the hotel
  • Compliance & Administration
  • To act as a Role Model and Mentor to all Care Staff
  • To deal professionally and promptly at all times 
  • To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to whilst completing care calls
  • Whenever you are on duty you will be expected to promote and maintain Abicare’s image 
  • Adhere to all requirements set by Abicare Services Ltd standards

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working within the social care sector to Diploma Level 3
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills
  • Proactive and experience in building relationships with Healthcare professionals and CCG/LA’s
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Problem-solving and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Experience in managing and developing team-positive team building
