Recruitment Coordinator (FT) NO SPONSORSHIP

Abicare is expanding and looking for a full-time recruiter to be part of a new care team
working within the City and County of Swansea. The recruiter will work collaboratively
with the Care Operations team on a daily basis to understand upcoming staffing
requirements for the service and to ensure there is a good pipeline of applicants.

Main Responsibility

 

  • Liaising with Head Office recruitment & marketing teams regarding vacancies to be advertised
  • Promote job vacancies via social media and LinkedIn Campaigns
  •  Attending external recruitment events promoting Abicare within Job Centres, job fairs, exhibitions and local events
  • Conduct face-to-face or video interviews, following a values-based interview
  • Tracking and recording using our ATS (Application Tracking System)
  • Ensuring all successful candidates have been onboarded with DBS, RTW and full compliance
  • Assist with initial onboarding inductions and ensure necessary training is booked with the Abicare Training team
  • Attend twice-weekly HR/recruitment meetings, sharing best practice, updating on targets reached and receiving updates of legal requirements
  • Maintain contact with successful candidates until they go into post and throughout that initial settling in period
  • Build relationships with the carers in order to build up the matching process between carers and clients (know the carers' specific skills e.g. driver, speaking a particular language, experience in caring for people with specific medical conditions etc)
  • Promote and participate in Wellbeing activities and events for the carers
  • Promoting the Abicare brand on a daily basis

The Ideal Candidate

Must have:

  • Experience in recruiting and knowledge of recruitment processes and RTW, DBS etc
  • Previous experience working within the social care sector/knowledge of Social Care Wales (SCW)
  • Welsh speaking preferably
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills
  • Proactive and the confidence to build new relationships
  • Assertive, but personable - a definite people person, organised and able to manage high volumes of carer applications
  • Motivated by targets
  • Possess excellent analytical and communication skills
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Driver with own car
