Job Introduction

Abicare is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Domiciliary Care Manager to manage our new branch covering Bath and North East Somerset area.

You will manage the visiting care service based out of our BOA office and report directly to our Care Operations Manager, where you will ensure compliance of the service, whilst maintaining high standards of person-centred care to our clients and wellbeing support to the care team.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the visiting service.

Main Responsibility

As the Registered Manager, you will:

  • Have a passion for making a difference within the care sector and promoting person-centred care
  • Manage financial plans/budgets in collaboration with the Care Operations Manager
  • Have the energy and drive to support, develop and motivate your teams to provide a high-quality standard of care to all clients
  • Build a profitable business and secure strong relationships with Social Services, CCGs and local community groups
  • Manage a small team of supervisors, roster and office coordinators
  • Work with the trainers and recruitment team to ensure all new and existing staff are compliant and trained to CQC standards
  • Effectively manage and investigate complaints, accidents, incidents and safeguarding
  • Stay up to date with the Health & Social Care Act, Mental Capacity, Safeguarding & CQC regulations
  • Develop your care team to ensure they have the correct skills and knowledge, whilst looking after their safety and wellbeing. Promote Equality & Diversity

The Ideal Candidate

Must have:

  • Previous experience of holding CQC Registration with a Domiciliary Care Company
  • QCF Level 5 in Care Leadership & Management Health Social Care
  • Sound knowledge of ‘person-centred’ approach to supporting people
  • Possess excellent organisational, time management and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Knowledge of the care rostering system 
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car

37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday plus (out-of-hours telephone on-call support)

Package Description
